PRIVACY POLICY

The Cornwall Enterprise Company ("the Company") is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to the www.cornwallonview.com website ("the Website"). This policy is provided to inform you how we collect, use and protect the information that you provide to us.

If you choose to complete a questionnaire then you may be asked to provide information on a variety of topics and it is at your discretion, if you choose to do so.         You may make an information request and in order to receive a response to your question, you may disclose personal information to the Company. The Company may also collect information about you from messages you post to the Website and emails or letters you send to us.

      • 1.1.2 Ordering goods and Services

        On the Website you can order photographs and you will be asked to provide contact details in order to make a purchase, this will include an email address to enable us to provide you with a downloadable copy of your photograph or at your request we can send a CD-Rom to your postal address.

        In order to process your payment for the photographs your details will be transferred at the time of payment to a website operated by PayPal (Europe) Ltd ("PayPal"). PayPal shall collect your payment details and process your payment and provide support services on our behalf.

        Your details may be held by PayPal’s parent company PayPal Inc in the United States. The laws on holding personal data in the United States may be less stringent than in the United Kingdom and we would refer you to PayPal’s Privacy Policy at www.paypal.com for further details.

      • 1.1.3 Automatic Collection of Information

        The Company automatically receives and records information on servers logs contained in your browser, the information recorded includes your IP address and your use of the Website. (IP means Internet Protocol and is the technical standard that allows information to be transmitted between computers)

        The Company uses cookies to collect unique visitor statistics, the cookie may collect your IP address and information regarding the pages that you visited on the Website. Unless you have indicated your objection when disclosing your details to us, our system will issue cookies to your computer when you log on to the Website.     • 3.4 The Website contains a shopping area, where you can purchase goods and services online. The shopping area is a secure site and is certificated as secure for financial transactions. The padlock symbol will be visible at the bottom of your screen whilst you are in the secure site.

    • 4.1 In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Website, you are not permitted to post or send any offensive or inappropriate material or information to the Website. In the event that you breach this term, the Company may use your personal information to take action against you to prevent further breaches of this term.
