VisitCornwall undertakes the Destination Management Function for Cornwall and promotes the areas distinctive qualities to the domestic market and key international markets through targeted marketing campaigns each year; focusing on the Spring, Autumn and Winter months. VisitCornwall also carries out other specialised marketing focusing on the County’s gardens, culture, heritage and other key attributes.

VisitCornwall provides an information service to visitors to the county to enable them to find out everything they need to be able to plan their holiday including events, activities, places to visit and places to stay.

VisitCornwall is a service of Cornwall Enterprise which is a local authority company controlled by Cornwall County Council.

About Cornwall Enterprise

Cornwall Enterprise is charged by the County Council with the economic development of Cornwall. This task covers a wide range of strategies and actions and the organisation has developed key strategic objectives derived from Strategy and Action, the economic development strategy for Cornwall, which inform the operational programme of the organisation. Five of the strategic objectives are linked to the achievement of prosperity. Cornwall Enterprise will measure the fulfilment of these five strategic objectives against a series of monitoring criteria, all of which are linked to prosperity. The other two strategic objectives are an internal objective, which seeks to ensure the development of staff and systems and an external objective, which seeks to manage external relationships of the company.
